Exploding cake box...

Hey everyone...

Today I have something different to share with you, My first ever exploding cake box!!

I have used lots of Magnolia doo-hickeys for this one, no coloured in images this time...

Here is the box before its opened...

Doohickey butterfly takes pride of place on the box lid...

and here it is the cake inside........

With the lid off you can see how the cake sits inside...

Box is all held up using ribbon!!

I added a cascade of flowers down the side and some ribbon to decorate the cake...

I love the pearl trim on the bottom!! (thanks jenny)

I used the dream tag doohickey die for the tag sentiment base...

and My love heart doohickey for some cute hearts to decorate the sides...

Well what do you think of my first try at an exploding bow??

 Hi everyone...

Well I am back from my holiday over to Melbourne to be in a friends wedding and also spend some time with my friend Jenny Dix!! 

I had a great time, Jenny and I went to a craft class at her local craft store and did some crafty shopping of course....I brought lots of new pretty flowers, some paper, stamp and a few other pretties!!

We have a new challenge at Inky Chicks this week and this time its Lace, this was an easy one for me because I just loveeee to use lace on my cards!!

I got some beautiful blue hand dyed lace from my local craft store that I found recently in longford.

the other lace was a gift from jenny!! (thanks jenny)

Loving these gorgeous wire love hearts... so pretty,

 covered in frantage shabby white!!

I made the easel card base using some sizzix dies....

Tildas is all coloured using distress inks on Langton hot press smooth paper...

The birthday sentiment is a stampin  up stamp... I made a little tag pocket for an extra sentiment!!

The butterfly die is by Tim holtz/sizzix and I layered them all up by cutting it out three times...

Float Tilda Float!!

Hi everyone...

There is a new challenge starting at Inky chicks  today "MONOCHROME"..

I went with a pink theme for my card!!

I used a stamp from the Lost and found collection - Tilda with Bunny balloon 

I masked her and inked up only the balloon to create a big bunch of balloons for her to float away with...

Here is my card.... Hope you enjoy it!!

I coloured using my distress inks...stamped on Langton hot press smooth paper with Staz-on black ink!!

There is a little pocket with a tag in the corner for a little message and I added a pretty heart brad I got from Magnolia in a DT package...love these!!
